Evan Williams Single Barrel Vintage 2013

Nose is sweet vanilla and caramel. Slight banana, toffee, sweetness. Finish doesn’t linger.

Pretty disappointing. Smooth but quite papery. Baker's spices and floral notes. Nutty. Grassy. Dry. Strangely reminiscent of a young scotch. Intriguing but not really what I want from a bourbon. Perhaps I didn't get the best barrel.

Barrel No. 888 in oak 9/27/13 and bottled 7/16/21. Neck pour, neat, didn’t let it sit long. Cherry and toasted marshmallow nose. Caramel popcorn with a floral note and a touch of spice on the palate. Oily with a medium finish. Well above average for a daily and at a great value.

I mean it taste just like Elijah Craig and makes sense bc it’s the same distillery.. Cherry and floral notes, on the sweet side with a touch of wood. 86/100 Good buy for a beginners bourbon and for $24
