This blanco tequila is the base tequila used for the Expresiones del Corazón collection of barrel-aged tequilas. It is made at Casa San Matías Distillery in Los Altos of Jalisco. After the agaves are cooked in stone ovens, milled, and fermented, the resulting "mosto" is distilled in stainless steel pot stills.
The tequila rests in stainless steel tanks for 60 days prior to bottling. Bottled at 80 proof, it is a 100% agave tequila. .
