Famous Grouse

ブレンデッドウイスキー。ハイランドパーク及びマッカランの蒸留所から仕入れた原酒をブレンド。 スコッチの中でも廉価なもの。 名前を直訳すると有名な雷鳥。雷鳥はスコットランドの国鳥であり、また発売当初の1900年頃は、上流階級の間で雷鳥狩りが嗜まれていたことから、上流階級向けをイメージしたと言う話も。ブレンド後シェリー樽で1年熟成させている。 香りはアルコールのツンとしたパンチが強いものの、その中にナッティさがある。シェリー樽で1年熟成させているものの、甘いバニラ香はやや弱いか。 グラスに注いですぐではフルーティさは感じられないが、少し時間を置くと味わいに洋梨とハニーが感じられる。ストレートでも良いが、やはり重さ・味わいのバランスが悪くないことから、ハイボールに適していると感じられる。

once in the previous bottle it was worth it and it was delicious. it was my favourite about 10-20 euros whiskey unfortunately now is not like then ..

Alcohol grain,  peat notes & a tiny bit of oak - harsh smelling though. Warming initially, subtle alcohol burn at the end; peat, oak & faint smoke too. It's quite thin & sweet with a few fruity flavours with apple & cinnamon coming through with the help of some water.
