Agave, lime and a little Smokiness on the nose. Sweet agave nectar , lime and then hickory smoke on the finish. Like a Mexican barbeque. You can totally feel the alcohol, but it's a a good feel. Great sipping mezcal.
This was the first mezcal I tried. It was great for sipping around the campfire. Now that I've had the chance to compare it with a dozen other mezcals I find it to be flavorful but a bit more rough then I would like. Good for cocktails but I'd recommend spending a few $ more if you plan on sipping mezcal neat.
Really fragrant, even from across the room - in a good way. Earthy without being funky, but bright. To taste, that brightness is lime juice (not zest) and maybe pineapple, light spice, just at the edge of smokey - like an unpeated scotch. No burn, not that hot, very smooth.
