Nose: Sweet honey, cereal, vanilla with buttery toast
Palette: Dominant notes of pralines, maple syrup, honey nut, light cream, almond skins
Finish: Smooth, warm, sweet and then bitter like from the skins of toasted almonds, light oak
It’s a fantastic Canadian Whisky and easy for beginners. For those looking for more kick, this may be too smooth. While this one is less sweet than the other offerings from Forty Creek, it may still be too sweet for some palettes. Overall taste is well balanced and nice for easy sipping. Too syrupy for an everyday dram. Great bottle for the piece I picked it up for.
