Foursquare Sagacity

Definitely taste the banana, long lasting finish with a prominent ginger. Wonderful sipping rum by itself or on the rocks. Definitely wouldn’t use it for mixing, it’s too rich.

God I love Foursquare. This is my second release of there's to try and not disappointed in the slightest. Wonderful smell full of vanilla, sugarcane, light brown spices, bit of apricot. Already makes me want to be on a beach. Taste caresses you with a nice sweet start, with some sugarcane and tropical fruits. Great mouth feel, not too oily or thin. Taste transforms into medium brown spices, caramel, tobacco, leather. Lingers forever. Would be 5 stars but I enjoyed the slap-in-the-face style of the 2007 just a bit more.

Wonderful vanilla nose with a great mid palette. No burn (almost 100 proof), short tail.

Burnt sugar, oak, and charcoal dominate the nose. There are flavors of pecan pie, baking spices, vanilla custard, and caramel. The mouth feel is coating and dry with a tannic finish.

Excellent sipper that reminds me of a brandy and rum finished bourbon more than of rum finished in bourbon barrels. Surprisingly dry and quite pleasant, my only complaint is that this tastes more like whiskey than rum. In some ways, I feel like I could find a similar taste profile in a bourbon for less that I might like just as much. It does finish like a rum though
