Fremont Mischief Whiskey is distilled from a mash bill of 90% rye and 10% malted barley. The whiskey is pot distilled in the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle before it is aged for 8 years in medium toasted once-used bourbon barrels. Because the barrels used aren't new, it can't be labeled a rye whiskey.
