Frida Kahlo Reposado Tequila
Frida Kahlo // Jalisco, Mexico
Frida Kahlo was a Mexican style icon and artist known for her self-portrait paintings. La Casa Azul (The Blue House) in Mexico City where she was born, lived, and died, now stands as a museum in her honor. Frida Kahlo Reposado is tequila made with 100% blue agave. The agave plants are hand selected and harvested before roasting in an antique adobe brick oven for at least 28 hours. The agave is then steamed and cooled before being crushed. This reposado ages six to nine months in American oak casks before bottling.
Tequila ReposadoDistilled from 100% blue Weber agave, it is aged from 2 months up to a year in barrels no larger than 20,000 L. Any type of wood is acceptable, although ex-bourbon barrels are most common. Reposado translates to "rested".
