Tasting Notes
"The nose reveals sweet, concentrated aromas of maple syrup and brown sugar, with additional notes of banana peel, fresh apricot, mango, cinnamon, nutmeg, and bubblegum wrappers. The initial entry is a blast of dried fruits, brown sugar, and aromatic spice (ginger, cardamom, cinnamon, and clove) that then settles on the palate to allow the grains to enter the chat. There's a distinct maltiness with earthy notes of espresso and a hint of pipe tobacco before vanilla, cocoa, and salted nuts make their way into the finish. This is a full-bodied whiskey that benefits from a bit of aeration in the glass to allow the wine cask finish elements to aerate and mingle more with the cereal notes. "
