Let me preface this by saying: I love George Dickel 12. I love the GD Rye. This, however is a different animal.
This is a refined whisky. You can tell extra time was put into it.
Nose: butter, corn, burnt sugar, some pear.
Mouth: smooth, sweet, the corn and butter pops. Pepper rounds out the sip.
Finish: short and peppery. Some lingering tartness of fruit as well.
I enjoyed this one a lot. This is a fine example of a Tennessee whisky.
It's buttery as heck. There's lots of fruit flavor underneath but I get a lot of the wood. Good. Would drink if offered but not likely to buy a bottle. 83-87
