Considering the price point, it’s relatively complete and even complex. There’s peach, caramel, and charcoal on the nose, followed by sharp citrus and Rice Krispie Treats in the mouth. The mouthfeel is a little watery, and the finish doesn’t exactly last forever. But the QPR is quite high at $40.
Nose of pecan pie, vanilla and cinnamon with a pie crust undertones
Palate of baked apples sprinkled with cinnamon sugar
Finish is medium with a nice lingering finish of barrel spice and molasses
Quite and enjoyable neat pour
A great whiskey! This one really grew on me as I worked through the bottle. Has a little bit of the Dickel mineral flavor, but plenty of other complexity and barrel character.
The nose is subtle. On the pallette, I get nuts, fruits (a little cherry), and cinnamon. It's rich, but not oily. The finish is satisfying, where a little barrel oak shows up.
