Gila Tequila Añejo is produced by Industrializadora de Agave San Isidro (NOM 1420) in the Los Altos (Highlands) region of Jalisco. Distilled from 100% blue weber agave, it ages for about 27 months in barrels of white oak before it's bottled at 40% ABV.
Its name comes from the Gila Monster (pronounced HEE-luh), a venomous lizard native to the southwestern US. Availability is limited to select Duty Free Americas retail outlets.

Tequila AñejoDistilled from 100% blue Weber agave, it is aged for at least a year in barrels not to exceed 600 liters. Any type of wood is acceptable, but ex-bourbon barrels are most common. Añejo tequilas are also known as "aged" or "extra aged".
