Reviewed January 24, 2023Glen Logie has a clear, light-amber appearance, with evenly-spaced alcohol legs. The aroma is of honey-topped white bread crust. The flavor is of those elements, with sugar, too. The body is low medium, and Glen Logie finishes a bit short. RJT9.99 USD per Bottle -

Reviewed August 19, 2022N: honey, ethanol, Heather T: Strong ethanol, a bit ragged and rough. Initial taste is honey with Heather, but sweet ethanol overwhelms and dominates. Second sip made me think GF + a touch of GMorangie with some peppery spice, but then it was masked. -

Reviewed January 31, 2021 (edited February 7, 2021)Nose - pear, apple, honey, artificial vanilla and caramel, cereal grain, floral decay, spoiled meat, rubbing alcohol, moderate ethanol burn. Taste - cereal grain, rubbing alcohol, honey, apple, pear, caramel, vanilla, black pepper, sulphuric vegetal notes, moderate alcohol bite, finishing medium long and bright with youthful cereal grain, rubbing alcohol, and bland caramel flavors. Wow, this is rough. It’s got a similar cheap blended scotch thing going on that the Glen Ness and Pure Scot I reviewed a few weeks back have, but this is worse. While the others graciously finish fast, the Glen Logie sticks to your tongue and lingers with this horrific cloying rubbing alcohol flavor. There’s really nothing redeeming about this other than the price. Honestly, I’d rather drink vodka or straight grain alcohol. Thanks to @ContemplativeFox for providing the sample and subjecting me to this torture. At the very least, it’s good preparation for my vodka tasting series which is kicking off tomorrow. -

Reviewed August 8, 2020 (edited January 31, 2021)Rating: 4/23 N: Oil and alcohol. There's some pepper too, but really it's pretty much just oil and alcohol. The oil has a slightly vegetal, herbal note and the vibe is a bit savory (it really doesn't smell sweet), but there is very little happening here. From the nose, I really can't tell that this is scotch or even whiskey. I'd probably have guessed vodka or maybe some weird Canadian whiskey. P: Yeah, it's oily with lots of alcohol and it's super harsh. There's a peppery spice, but it's mostly just harsh. It doesn't have any of that cheap scotch sulfur, so that's a relief, but it frankly tastes awful and it's physically painful to consume. With this harshness and oiliness, I'd have actually guessed that it was 46%, but nope - 40%! There are slight allusions to some vegetal and herbal character, but they're really more like rubber. Frankly, this tastes more like bad vodka than whiskey. I'm almost interested in looking into this to make sure that it isn't some counterfeit scotch. Clan MacGregor and Piper's Clan may taste terrible, but they at least taste terrible in a way that I expect bad scotch to taste terrible. F: The finish is oily with some alcohol and residual burn. I didn't expect anything else. What did you expect? This is awful. I think I like it a little bit better than Piper's clan because I can conceivably drown its faults in mixers, but I find this actively painful to drink - both metaphorically and literally. I'm thinking a 3-6 here and I think I'm going to come down on the side of 4. If Grant's is like a 7-8, this is at least 2 points worse and really I think it's at least 3 - ergo, a 4. I can imagine a 3 though. It's awful. At $10 I can see some sort of use for this. Maybe. Not really - Evan Williams Black and plenty of better vodkas and bad (but not this bad) gins can be found for around $10. At least it's dirt cheap. Please though, avoid Glen Logie. If you must buy bottom shelf scotch, pay the extra buck fifty to upgrade to Grant's Triple Wood instead.10.0 USD per Bottle -

Reviewed July 9, 2020Nose: Heavy ethanol. Apples and cinnamon. Vanilla. Hints of citrus, limes to be exact. Light smoke. Palate: Smoky and light. Some vanilla. Light malty flavor. Salt water taffy. Pretty simplistic. Finish: Medium. Warm and sweet, nice vanilla. Overall Thoughts: Another cheap one, but not without some nice notes. Simple and easy to drink. Nothing to write home about but certainly has heart. A proper bargain Scotch.
