Reviewed November 7, 2021 (edited December 17, 2022)A- amber +1,high viscosity N- honey, vanilla, toffee, tangerine, orange zest, sultanas, berries, apricot, plums, chocolate P- light pleasant fruity spicy arrival, full rich, oily, honey, vanilla, toffee, sultanas, plums, apricots, red berries, chocolate, wet oak, walnuts, licorice, sea water F- medium finish, sweet-fruity-oaky aftertaste C- it's interesting to experience how this dram will evolve in your glass at the beginning you get the bourbon cask influence and then when you let it rest in your glass the sherry cask start to kicks in, this show you how complex and well balanced this dram is. -

Reviewed October 27, 2021 (edited November 24, 2021)fruity, berry, red fruit, sweetness, pleasant, candy, mid pep, dry 2.75 complexity, lemon, citrus, berries - starts off with a mellow flat, and then you start to get some fruity notes as described above... this then rolls into a woody oak finish 2.25 oaky and bitter notes, low sustain 2.25 2.25 Heavy pep, eye watery, creamy, berry , mandarin citrus, lemon peels , zest 3 Bland , flat, slight sweetness. Hollow oak, dry, woody, bitterness, 1 Mid sustain oaky and little smoke 1 1.5 -

Reviewed June 23, 2021Vanilla, oak, and sea air in the nose. Sweet vanilla, oak, citrus or lemon zest, and salt on the palette. Citrus and oak remain in the medium-length finish. 3 cl sample from The Premium Whisky Advent Calendar (2020 Edition). -

Hosted by GSC, with Iain McAlister, Master Distiller at Glen Scotia, as guest speaker). Nose: Honey, toffee caramel, dried fruit (sultanas/apricots). Wisps of salt. Palate: Lemon/citrus, dried fruit, Marsala wine, caramel, black tea. Quite a strong oak/vanilla note. Finish: Long, oily finish. Ginger, salt, gristy, sherry, sultanas/raisins. A hint of menthol on the aftertaste. This is a lovely salted and honeyed, toffee caramel dram. Delicious. Came joint third out of the six drams, with 17% (4 votes) of the final vote for favourite of the night. 92% of those present said they enjoyed the whisky.85.0 GBP per BottleThe Good Spirits Co.
