Flaviar advent day 7
Nose is honey and floral
Taste is honey butter creaminess followed by a little bit of spice from the oak but not a stringent then crisp apple at the end.
The pilot is long creamy with an apple lingering.
First Sniffs show notes of Floral and strong fruit aromas (banana) primarily. First taste leaves smooth butterscotch and vanilla. Really enjoyed this one
Really nice, a great balance between sweet and rich.
Nose - almonds, toasted toffee, flowers, vanilla and a bit of chocolate
Taste - dried fruit and almonds, some rich chocolate and a bit of roasted toffee again
Finish - lingering spice and sweetness, medium burn, slightly oily
I can see why this wouldn’t be everyone’s cup of tea, but this is absolutely delicious to me. It’s essentially a dessert Scotch (if there such a thing) that tastes almost precisely like a piece of chocolate chip banana bread. Really unique and really delicious to my palate.
