Glenallachie 2008 (3966) Rioja Barrel

Bright and smoky nose. Fruit bomb.

11 years aged. Specs barrel. Light peat. Sweet from bourbon barrel. Vanilla and marshmallow notes.

Lighter tannin influence due to Rioja. Beautiful honey/rose/gold. Golden blush per Billy Walker. Noses drier. Hint of mango. Beautiful balance with wine fruits. Buttery

The bottle I got is 48% and 13 years old. Almond butter, licorice, Red Hots, red fruit, sweet pepper, earthy malt, spicy butterscotch, leather, rich and flavorful, relatively quick finish.

Subtle nose. Rioja brings a very interesting twist typical for red wines. Spicy short finish.
