A Macallan killer. With notes of dried fruit—apricot and figs, in particular—pecan, and a touch of cinnamon, this creamy sherry bomb contains whisky notably older than the 15-year age statement suggests. Now a personal favorite, this expression is less sweet than the 12-year and lacks the 18-year's sappiness. Along with a few others on this app, I consider it the strongest of GlenDronach's standard bottlings.
