Glenfarclas 105 Cask Strength

Nose: candied orange peel, marzipan, brown sugar, maple syrup, blackcurrant, raisins, chocolate, caramel. Taste: sweet and warm, creme brulee, raisins, marzipan and dark chocolate. Finish: warm, woody, sweet.

I sampled a dram of this at the Highlands in New York City. I was expecting this to be a full-on sherry bomb, but the predominate flavor is actually chocolate, with some nice spice notes that add complexity. Goes down remarkably smooth for such a high-proof scotch. Highly recommended.
