Glenfarclas 105 Cask Strength

On the nose, sour apple, apple cider vinegar, raisin, sulfur, ethanol, and a little funky in an intriguing way. The palate hits with somewhat similar slightly discordant notes. There's the apple and ethanol, then some rich malty and sherry notes in the middle, then transitions to a somewhat harsh finish. I think this is likely to be friendly with a little water, but it may take some experimentation to dial in the right amount. I added a little to see. The nose stayed interesting, and the palate certainly improved with less harshness and more of the sherry richness showing. Comes across now somewhat more like a prototypical sherry bomb. This is an interesting dram, and one I'm a little on the fence about. It's interesting and has some really nice flavors, mixed in with a little bit of harshness and funk. Overall, it's one I wouldn't be opposed to picking up a bottle to explore more, particularly at the right price. Thanks go out to @ContemplativeFox for the sample!

10 Year. Has some nice sweetness and fruitiness but is thin on palate at least compared to Macallan cask strength. Nose: Raisins, Plums, Dates, Lavender, Milk Chocolate, Violets, Butterscotch, Blood Oranges, Ginger, Mangoes, Blackberries Palate: Raisins, Dates, Butterscotch, Toffee, Sultanas, Figs, Milk Chocolate, Almonds, Blackberries, Leather, Luxardo Cherries, Chili Peppers Finish: Raisins, Apricots, Dark Chocolate, Figs, Luxardo Cherries, Plums, Sultanas, Butterscotch, Honey, Dates

Nose: Vanilla, honey, apple, oak, plums Palate: Raisins, apple, spicy oak Finish: Oak, raisins, vanilla Nice dram, but feels a little harsh compared to Aberlour A'bunadh. Still it being much cheaper and offering same kind of sherrybomb qualities, it's a good whiskey to have in your cabinet.

바닐라향이 나며 오래된 에어링 기간 때문인지 뭔가 느끼했지만 CS 특유 높은 도수의 스파이시함 덕분에 그나마 괜찮았다.
