This is a prime example of not judging a book by its cover. Glenfarclas chooses to package their 40 year old whisky in a modest tube and not in extravagant (read: expensive) packaging. For $500-ish or so, getting a 40 year old whisky that still is vibrant is quite something. Oh, and it's 92 proof to boot. This is one to add to your whisky wish list (or buy for that someone special)!

Tasting Notes

"Dark honey, roasted cereal, dark molasses, baked pears, cinnamon, maybe some walnut; these are some of the aromas found in this whisky. Going back for more you'll find orange peel, black tea, tobacco; this is something you'll want to drink by the fireplace. The finish is slightly bitter, but is lengthy. "
