Glenfiddich 40 Year is made using a continuous remnant vatting process where select casks are married with remnant (aka leftover) of previous vattings. It was first released in 2000 that included whiskies from 1925, 1937, 1939, and 1960. Each subsequent release includes a little bit of the oldest whisky from 1925. Only 600 bottles are produced and its alcohol percentage varies each year.
