Glenfiddich IPA Experiment

Nose: The IPA hops really shine through lending green, zesty, floral notes with hints of white pepper. Palate: Vanilla, spiced apples, barrel spice starts to creep forward. Finish: A peppery spice intensifies with barrel tannins. After a short while I'm left with sweet toffee apple with some subtle tropical notes undoubtedly from the IPA.

Nose: Orchard fruit - pear, pear drop sweets, herbal Palate: Zesty, hoppy, pear drop sweets, vanilla Finish: Medium finish. Beer, caraway, nigella seeds, burnt seeds and herbs This is an obviously young whisky, stuck into a beer barrel. A bit burnt and herbal on the aftertaste, lots of fruity youthfulness upfront. It's OK, but nothing more than that.

Two of my faves together - IPA and scotch. And it works.

Not bad. Not anything special.
