Reviewed October 16, 2021 (edited September 19, 2024)Nose - Grilled pineapple, golden raisins, light cinnamon, apple juice Taste - Pineapple, apricot, peach, apple juice, light "spice" heat/tingle, golden raisins Finish - Lingering grilled pineapple/peach fruit char bitter & sweet, ginger tingle/heat Score - 83/100 Final Thoughts - It's been a while since I've had the Series One, but I think that one had a bit more sweet sherry influence. This one was a bit more bright, vibrant, and highlighted the malt a bit more. The pineapple note was quite nice, but everything in this seemed a bit too "light." It's nicely balanced for sure and very pleasant to drink. I think this is more of a dram you'd reach for when you're not looking for a very complex dram, but something that you don't have to think too hard about. Would I drink it if offered? - Yes Would I specifically order it? - Maybe Would I buy a bottle? - No NOTE - All reviews are done without factoring in price.78.35 USD per Bottle -

Reviewed June 5, 2021 (edited August 11, 2022)(Good Spirits Co. Glasgow – Virtual 10th Birthday Whisky Tasting, 4th June 2021). Nose: Sweet, fruit (berries), children’s sweets, lemon, furniture polish Palate: Sherry, citrus, orchard fruit (Granny Smith apples), caramel. Fizzy on the palate. Finish: Medium short finish. Citrus, orange and apple. Oak on the aftertaste. This is a tasty whisky. There’s an intensity that you don’t often get from Glengoyne. Retains the gentleness you expect from their spirit, but nicely layered. Came sixth out of the six drams, with 2% (1 vote) of the final vote for favourite of the night. 64% (30 votes) of those present said they enjoyed the whisky.63.5 GBP per Bottle -

Reviewed April 23, 2021Citrus and sweet on the nose, reminds me of crystalized orange. Spicy on the tongue with a bit of cinnamon taste which remains active in the mouth for a while. Good whisky!
