The Altus — Latin for “high” — joins Glenmorangie’s core range alongside The Original 12 Year and The Infinita 18 Year. For this release, Director of Whisky Creation Dr.
Bill Lumsden used specially toasted and charred bourbon casks, with a portion of the whisky finished in Malmsey Madeira — a nod to the brand’s 1995 Madeira Wood Finish, the world’s first Madeira-finished single malt. Bottled at 43% ABV, The Altus debuted in August 2025.
