Glenmorangie Nectar D'or
Glenmorangie // Highlands, Scotland
In case your French isn't quite up to speed, "Nectar d'Or" translates to "golden nectar". The nectar under discussion is Sauternes, a white dessert wine from the Bordeaux region. The wine is tremendously sweet, fruity, and has a great deal of acidity which livens up your palate. The Glenmorangie Original has been finished for an additional two years in ex-Sauternes casks to create this bottling.
Single MaltDistilled in pot stills from 100% malted barley, produced at one distillery, aged in barrels; if Scotch or Irish, must be aged for at least three years.

"Much like the Sauternes wine itself, the nose and palate present lots of apricot, peach, and honey. The whisky, however, is still present with grains and wood spices like ginger and cinnamon. In addition, white grapes, coconut, and vanilla round out the sweet notes. Clearly, this would make a great after dinner dram, but don't overlook daytime drinking snacking on some charcuterie. Ain't nothing wrong with that!"
