Glenmorangie Nectar d'Or Sauternes Cask Finish

Very sweet tasting scotch. No real burn behind it, I'm getting a lot of vanilla and some honey. Great sipping scotch, maybe a bit expensive.

3.5 stars - Very good; 100 ml sample Such a good flavor combination. I will pick up a full bottle soon. My only complaint is sometimes this tastes like Glenmorangie 10 in a hat and sunglasses rather than a new member of the Glenmorangie family. I know there aren’t that many white wines finished in oak, but there is such a natural flavor match with white wine and good scotch. Let’s see more things like this! Enough with the red wine and sherry finishes.

Tasting neat: Nose is faint, with slight sugar and citrus. Palate is sweet and soft, with more glazed sugar and lemon plus vanilla. Finishes with some heat and delicious sugar.

A sweet whisky, smooth, great for people who don't like a more classic scotch taste profile.
