Nose has a clean fresh smell, a zesty lemony with a hint bakeshop. (I struggle!) Floral citrus notes,a little alcohol heat, super light peat, barely present. Finish the brine rolls in strong, with a peaty smoke flowing in. Some pepper, some lemon twist, light vanilla and salt. Not saltwater like other Ardbegs. Very good. This is not your dads Ardbeg. I still prefer the 10, a welcome different experience.

The Nose I find amazing. Floral, bright, with sea water, citrus, and very light peat. Taste of Ardbeg with confusing notes, a little sour, sea water reminding me of Ardbeg Kelpie. Finish dissipates into a salty sour with light peat. Well worth the unique experience, but not enough for me to seek another bottle.

Deerhammer American Single Malt
American Single Malt — Colorado, USA
Reviewed February 26, 2022 (edited March 18, 2022)An excellent whisky, and a must try for an American Single Malt. This distillery has huge potential from tasting this expression. However it is a bit young, and unrefined. Overall I highly recommend having in your collection and look forward to the day this distillery releases a 10 year version of this. With aging this is a solid 4.5+ -
