Hakushu 18 Year

Tasted at the forest sanctuary, it was a lovely dram. The best of the distiller’s blend, 12 and 18 as would be expected…but while clearly better than the 12, it was only marginaly better than the blend. The learning is no need for the premium and instead by two bottles of the blend.

Again, it’s like forest bathing. Thst much better than distiller’s reserve? Not sure… its good; for sure. But Yamazaki 18 is better

It is a great whisky. Nose is wood, forest, light smoke, salt, a bit of milky chocolate like sweetness. Im not sure i prefer it over hakushu 12 though. The 18 has a bit more wood bitterness.
