Hancock's President's Reserve Single Barrel Bourbon

Aroma was bold and really nice. Coconut, vanilla and even almonds. As it opens a touch of cinnamon. Flavor is creamy vanilla. A touch of toasted grain. Few drops of water kills the Aroma and brings out a touch more spice. Not sure I'd add water again here. (starting at 89 proof so makes sense) Later in the glass the almond returns in the palate. Finish is mostly just lingering bitterness

Oak and faint caramel aroma. Subtle. Flavor is also rather subtle, medium-light richness with some nice oak and sweetness. Sweet flavor is distinct, but not too strong. Caramel underneath, oak and spice on top. Some more body would've done it some good. Spice and alcohol burn stick around for a tail but there isn't much there to carry it.

Nose of light brown sugar and tropical fruit with a hint of green apple Palate is balanced pie crust dusted with light cinnamon and cacao Finish is medium/long oak and cinnamon chocolate Rich mouthfeel for such a low proof

I really like this bourbon, I wish it was readily available… oh well happy I tried it. If you get a chance to, highly recommend it.
