Doesn't smell like a rye, just smells like Jim beam. Definitely tastes like one though, rye spice and cane sugar, with more body than I'd expect. Actually has some richness to it. It's fine, but I actually expected it to be worse.

Getting musty oak both on the nose and the tongue, not unpleasant but a little one note. I definitely taste more wood than anything else. Body is a little thin, but it's mostly just kind of a solid average bourbon.

Dark and complex, chocolatey and rich. Balance is excellent. Very enjoyable.

Super weird and bright. Points for uniqueness, I've never eatsed anything like it. The taste of the sour from the cask is definitely the most forward flavor, tart and berry. Doesn't really work for me, but a really cool idea.

This is one of those that I like more the more I drink it. Medium rich, and with flavors that remind me a lot of a wine Casked whiskey. The peat is there but blends in with everything and is well balanced rather than the star. All it's missing is sweetness, that would really make it shine.

Estringent compared to the flagship expression, similar flavors but a bit dryer from the cask finish. Maybe some port sweetness. A little thin for me, needs some richness to carry the flavor and power.

Was hoping this could be a cheaper substitute for the Woodinville port but it doesnt quite make it. Theres a weird texture or flavor that I dont care for, almost that thick velvety mouthfeel of a merlot. Dont really care for it in whiskey.
