Hatozaki Japanese Blended Whisky

Enjoyable.

Nose. Malty, creamy vanilla and fruit. Palate. Much more of that creamy vanilla, marshmallow. Finish. Medium. Honey and a little smoke.

A little thin and sharp. Dry. Modest heat, modest flavour profile. Incredibly sake like....cant help but wonder if this was aimed at domestic consumption. Certainly not close the larger, robust Japanese whiskeys I'm familiar with. A very safe blend, best suited to a highball or other mixed drink.
