Heaven Hill Bottled In Bond 7 Year

On the nose this one offers vanilla, honey, and oak. First sip offers a spicy note of black pepper up front and a smoother finish with a char undertone. Ice removes most of the burn up front and allows for the other notes like oak, char, and smoke shime through. This is a good offering in a long list of BIB’s.

Copper color. The nose has maraschino cherry syrup, rose water, and fresh ground cinnamon. The mouthfeel is medium-bodied and hot. The palate has dark cherries, black tea, candied walnuts, roasted peanuts, and black pepper, with cinnamon chewing gum and ground nutmeg. The finish was disappointing - fairly short and tannic, with strong notes of young oak and cinnamon toothpicks, and fainter notes of cherry cough syrup and black pepper.

Spicy in the front, sweet in the back

Very little flavor depth for the price point!

Pretty good but the extra years don’t improve it much over other bottled-in-bond bourbons. Kina dry. Its good, but not mind blowing.
