Heaven's Door Refuge Straight Rye Finished in Sherry Casks
Rye
Heaven's Door // USA
Bob Dylan and the Heaven's Door team have given a name to their core whiskeys. Here, Refuge is the name for the brand's straight rye whiskey made from a mash bill recipe of 100% rye. It's aged for 6-8 years and then finished in Amontillado sherry casks. It's bottled at 46% ABV.
The core portfolio is also getting a refresh with new labels highlighting Dylan's iron metalworks. Announced in July 2023, Refuge will begin to hit shelves nationwide in the following weeks. (SRP $69.99).

RyeUnlike bourbon, rye whiskey can be made anywhere in the world. But if made in the US, the mash bill recipe must be at least 51% rye and it must be aged in new, charred oak barrels with no age requirement. Elsewhere, the rye whiskey will be made keeping the country of origin's rules regarding the recipe and minimum aging.
