Heaven's Door Straight Rye Whiskey

Nose: spicy, minty, woody Palate: caramel, pepper, sweet, nuts Finish: bitter, spicy, sweet, long, sticky

Easy sipper by the fire. Great - well above aberage.

Comes across as a somewhat more approachable version of MGP 95/5 rye. It’s not aggressively dilly, although the herbal flavors are in the mix, balanced by sweet caramel, cinnamon/clove, and floral notes. I’d say overpriced, but it’s still a nice rye.
