Ethanol, brown sugar, honey, and cinnamon on the nose at first. Longer nosings yield mint and peanuts. On the taste a menthol shoots up front but immediately dies down leaving behind buttery caramel and spicy wood tannin. The finish lingers a little with honey and a cherry cola. I get why folks would be excited at $30 but for $60 you can do better.
A little lighter in color. Nose is pretty oaky and maybe some brown sugar. Very smooth for the proof. The heat comes a little later with brown sugar and plenty of oak. Overall simple but the finish is the best part. Long oaky and much more complex than the beginning. Now I get the vanilla, leather, and oak. Great great finish!
