Henry McKenna 10 Year Bottled in Bond Bourbon

From the first nosing to the first taste this whiskey is pleasing. It screams aged bourbon with class. Funny thing it retails for 35.99 usd. Unfortunately I paid $60 bucks, not disappointed though, this is a MUST have on a bar. Nevertheless if you see this one on the shelf and haven’t tasted it, think hard before you walk away. It’s right up there with Eagle Rare. Not as much oak or cherry but it brings it to the table. This IS BOURBON

Smells amazing and sweet with oak very flavorful

How do I end up with all the shitty bottles of Mckenna 10 year? 4 bottles in and the best one might be a 6.5 outta 10. This needs to be a batched product. It would benefit the quality greatly. How are some people rating this a 5 especially at 50 bucks if I counted price in when I taste something at 50 this is a 4.5

Note to self: never judge a bourbon when you first taste it. Give it some time to breathe and come back to it. So when I first tasted this, I thought…meh, a spicier blade and bow. The further I got into it though, my thoughts quickly changed. This is fantastic. One of the best ones I’ve had. Hard to find, but I got lucky today. Anyway, I get a very floral nose at first. A little vanilla, rye spice, and orange. On the pallet it is very sweet with an enjoyable burn. The finish is nice. Get a good amount of oak and spice, some leather. The finish lasts a decent amount of time, though not long enough.
