Hibiki 12 Year

Damn close to perfection. A blend that doesn't just pretend to be a single but can teach that single a thing or two about flavour.

This is an elegant whisky. The very light color gives you am indication of the taste. You are struck with a delicate fruit and fragrant flowers. The mouth feel is oily and does linger with a very slight heat finish. This is a dangerously delicious whisky. It will be refilled in my collection many times over.

This is fantastic. That said, it only beats out much cheaper aged rums in smokiness, while the fruity and floral nose and flavors are generally in par with flor de caña centenario or zacapa solera.
