Tasting Notes
"Yes, the lone Valhalla bottling to be named after a goddess instead of a god does have a fruity and floral profile, but you would be advised not to write this whisky off as a delicate flower. The proof should give you some indication of that fact. There is a wonderful balance between the fruity (think peaches and cream) and the spicy sweet notes with just a dusting of the peaty smoke added to the mix. The finish brings a little salty tang and spicy, woody quality to the party. Adding water will intensify these notes, but will also provide a soft ending rather than a tighter, more astringent one. Your call; mine is to enjoy au natural."
