First taste. Somewhat salty and earthy/smoke on the nose. Accentuated smoke on the palate with some saltiness. I don’t pick up on the sweetness. Really enjoy it.
This is the most affordable HP whisky in my neck of the woods by far, and perhaps as they designed it they missed some of the flavours that make HP a signature whisky. It’s nice, smooth, and you don’t notice how fast it goes down. Might be the HP dram you can discern heather the most, but without distinction of the typical HP bottles with peat and smoke. Great bang for buck.
Nose contains notes of citrus fruit roll-ups. Starts on the palate with subtle floral notes. Very dry on the tongue with tastes of vanilla and cashews. Finishes with flourishes of smoke and peat.
