Highland Park Magnus

Sweet and light on flavor. There is some smoke and barely detect peat. I just sampled the 50cl bottle. I will pass on this one to get 12yr bottle. I think this one needs more time in the barrel.

Very light, hints of honey and orchard fruit, something deep down that's reminiscent of iodine but if I didn't know any better I'd have expected it to be unpeated, doesn't commit to any one flavor profile but it is incredibly smooth, for a second I thought the bartender was watering it down

Confirme que Highland Park est dans mes distilleries préférées. Ressemble au 10 ans d’âge, mais moins sucré. On sent bien le côté smoky et tourbé, avec aucun burn. Toutefois, le goût est plus franc et moins en longueur que les 10/12 ans. Quelque points bonus pour la valeur car à 53$ c’est une solide aubaine! Bouteille ouverte en 2021-01.

While I enjoyed it I was hoping for more peat. I guess they’re going for more of a single malt taste without the peat(?). Would buy again but won’t rush out for it.

This is a soft and delicate whisky for highland park. The nose has scents of peach and the palate has vanilla and honey. The barley is not very strong on this with a decent amount of oak on the finish.
