RyeUnlike bourbon, rye whiskey can be made anywhere in the world. But if made in the US, the mash bill recipe must be at least 51% rye and it must be aged in new, charred oak barrels with no age requirement. Elsewhere, the rye whiskey will be made keeping the country of origin's rules regarding the recipe and minimum aging.

Tasting Notes
"Madeira is always an interesting choice when it comes to cask-finishing because it isn’t as grapey or jammy as port nor as sweet and nutty as Oloroso sherry. Here the Madeira plays off the inherent spicy rye flavors by adding some fresh herbal notes of sage and thyme with additional flavors of ripe peach and plum. Fuller flavors of milk chocolate and toffee come through, which are set off by strong oaky accents. The smoky flavors of the original whisky don’t quite fold into the rest of the elements, but it’s still an enjoyable whiskey to sip. "
