Horse Soldier Signature Small Batch Bourbon

Earthy, some vanilla.

Good flavor. Nothing too special, but good. Pretty easy drinker, not spicey either.

I have to admit I really liked the earthy “fresh mulch” kick with a smooth finish. Wouldnt classify this bourbon as a favorite but its quite unique and a refreshing departure feom the norm. Great origin story too

Light brassy in color, voluminous legs show up and move quickly. Lots of rye on the nose, grassy and bit vegetal. A hint of vanilla and some corn. Its a little rough around the edges. A hint of sweetness upfront, but dry and a bit bitter on the back end. Some notes of cornflakes among the spiciness. It lacks entirely in harmony and depth.
