Reviewed August 25, 2021Rating: 14/23 N: Big cheese - aged gouda with swiss. Some faint lime and brine with underlying bitter mint. P: Much sweeter than expected, but still that big cheese flavor. Plenty of prickly spice, especially toward the finis. This isn't actually a sweet tequila. I get a hint of lime and definitely some mint (spearmint). At points, something like a green tree branch (still on the tree) comes out. A bit of burnt grass. Quite viscous and full. F: Long cheese on the finish. A bit of mint here and there. Somewhat of a vegetal backing. Faint burnt grass. - Conclusion - Should tequila taste like cheese? I've gotten hints of this in the past, but this one really goes all out. If this is an appropriate flavor profile, they're doing great. I've just never tasted it before, so I don't know what to think. Accepting this as a reasonable flavor, but not really loving it, I'm looking at an 11 to 16. I think it can have a 14, but I'm actually considering a 15. It's more bold and interesting than Cabo Wabo Blanco. I'm going with 14.35.0 USD per Bottle
