Nose has a light caramel note with light fruity note coming through, reminiscent of a chardonnay. Some earthy/musty note is showing at the end. Initial taste was sweet and earthy, though the most noteworthy thing is the strong finish which is spicy, oaky and malty which lingers on the palate. This whiskey seemed to open up more with the fruit notes as it sat in the glass.
Nose: Sweet ripe orchard fruits like a nectarine or apricot. Honey and vanilla creep in as it opens more.
Palate: A lot more honey and vanilla develop. A bit of oakiness as well mixes with that ripe nectarine/apricot from the nose.
Finish: The ripe fruit turns more to an orange like zest and cedar wood box like character.
