Jefferson's Ocean Aged at Sea Voyage 23

Very spicy cinnamon sugar notes on the nose with a beautiful strong aroma. Tasty spiky maple body on the first sip that lingers long after it goes down. More of a high rye kind of sting vs a uncomfortable ethanol burn. Really nice maple sugar body with a cinnamon burn to finish and hints of barrel notes at the very end. This bourbon is right up my alley taste wise and the story behind it makes it even cooler and more enjoyable.

Salty, caramel, oak

Vanilla on the nose and it did initially take me to the smell of the ocean. Vanilla and spices on the front palate were noticeable but didn’t last long. Spice and slight char to finish. Very light, not a lot of depth of flavor or character. Always hesitated to buy because of the aged at sea gimmick and price. A lot of better pours at much lower price points.

Taste like a regular bourbon with a little bit a salt
