Jefferson's Reserve Pritchard Hill Cabernet Cask Finish

Fantastic bourbon; great taste, enough rye to add sweetness without being too sweet or adding too many floral bites to the otherwise great bourbon notes.

It has more spice but the flavor doesn’t seem to hold up to the others in the same line

Dried cherries and slight fig on the nose. Dark red tint for color, and has more wine characteristics for taste

Big good smelling nose with lots of bright jammy fruits and citrus notes. The body and finish is a little disappointing being a speciality cask finish. The groth cask finish variation to me is much more well balanced and flavorful than this Pritchard cab finish.

N: honey, stone fruit, sourness P: oakey, hints of grapey, sour, lemon zest F: long, peppery but not hot, hints of oak weird but fun
