Jefferson's Reserve Single Barrel

Bottled for Total Wine: Barrel #177 Bottle # 3. Neat: Very harsh. flavor sticks to tongue. On Rocks: Sweeter with a stingy bite on tongue. In Coke: This is where it belongs.

Great flavor on the front end with a mild oak flavor and a nice spice. The finish is what loses me. It’s a bit odd and acidic in a not so friendly way. If it had a better finish it would get a much higher rating, but it really puts me off.

So bitey! Might as well have ordered friggin maker’s mark

Sweet and smooth.

2-3 sips in begins to open up. Spicy at first, mellows to vanilla notes. Gentle and nice Kentucky hug!
