Less sweet and vanilla than I thought a double oaked would be.
Nose - Not much, a bit of spice
Palate - Slight spice first then sweetness with a short spicy finish
Lots of smoke flavor, but not enough to overwhelm you. It doesn't quite achieve the wood level that other bourbons do with double oaking, but instead transforms Jim Beam into any other number of top shelf bourbons that achieve a full barrel flavor with only the one go through the barrel. For the cost, this is probably a permanent staple of the bar.
