Taken neat, in a ceramic mug.
Nose of burnt toffee, bourbon fruit, oak aged corn mash.
Tastes of a Jim Beam with more robust essences of corn dominate distillate. Pleasant, with a lingering aftertaste.
Dad bought this for me at the store across the street from the hotel at mom’s 60th birthday celebration in Chicago. Much worse than I remember haha. Right on the border between sippable and needs a mixer.
The nose is quite weak, if you try you can get some buttered popcorn, vanilla and a hint of cherry. The palate is a bit more promising, the corn and cherry flavors are more prominent and there is also some oak spice that makes an appearance. Vanilla and butterscotch carry on through the surprisingly warm finish that lasts longer than I expected. Overall, certainly better than the white label, but not something to go out of your way to look for.
Nothing special. I've been shooting this one to get it off my shelf. It's not offensive. Not sure where others are finding this on clearance but its not worth $20 retail.
