Reviewed November 7, 2017 (edited December 13, 2019)this is not whiskey. it's whiskey flavored vanilla schnapps. if you drink whiskey neat or on the rocks this will taste like syrup. this is as close to whiskey as Zima is to beer. 0.25 stars -

Reviewed October 27, 2017Remarkably sweet, but not revoltingly so. From what I read, this spirit is made by mixing real vanilla liquor and bourbon. Drinking it neat means you're not finishing it anytime soon, but it's a good item to bring to a party to which everyone else brings wine or beer---something different that non-whiskey drinkers can appreciate as a change of pace. Next time, though, I'll take Beam's commercials' advice and mix with cola. -

Reviewed October 14, 2017 (edited October 21, 2024)“Atticus said to Jem one day, “I’d rather you shot at tin cans in the backyard, but I know you’ll go after birds. Shoot all the blue jays you want, if you can hit ‘em, but remember it’s a sin to kill a mockingbird.” That was the only time I ever heard Atticus say it was a sin to do something, and I asked Miss Maudie about it. “Your father’s right,” she said. “Mockingbirds don’t do one thing except make music for us to enjoy. They don’t eat up people’s gardens, don’t nest in corn cribs, they don’t do one thing but sing their hearts out for us. That’s why it’s a sin to kill a mockingbird.” – Harper Lee, To Kill a Mockingbird There. I figured it would be better for you guys to read something beautiful than to spend time extolling the non-existent virtues of this free sample of a vanilla flavored abomination of a liquid that was hanging limp from a bottle of Jim Beam I purchased today. Curl up with a good book and a great dram and avoid Jim Beam Vanilla like you’d avoid your bitching mother-in-law, an after hours phone call from your work or reality television. You’ll thank me for it later. Cheers. -

Reviewed October 12, 2017 (edited December 29, 2017)1.8 I drank a sample of it neat... And it actually stood on it's own quite nicely but it aint whiskey... its a flavored alcohol! To call it whiskey would be a violation or misuse of what is regarded as sacred.
